VOLENDAM & ARAHURA

This photo shows the VOLENDAM departing Wellington for Napier. The vessel had arrived for Picton the night before, her passengers lucky enough to be in Wellington on one of those special days - the sun shone and there was NO wind. The rail ferry ARAHURA is also outbound and heading for Picton. The pilot launch TARAKENA has just retrieved the pilot and heading back to base
