CEDARGLEN
CEDARGLEN
CEDARGLEN as shown while upbound on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères, Quà©bec, on March 31, 2005. This ship originally started life in 1959 as the German-flag ocean-going bulker EMS ORE. In 1976, she and two other sisters were bought by Hall Corp. who had them converted into lakers by keeping the afterpart of each ship (engine room & accomodations) and building new cargo sections and bows. The former bridge structures were resited aft and EMS ORE was renamed MONTCLIFFE HALL and put under the Canadian flag. When Hall folded in 1988, the ship was acquired by Paterson and renamed CARTIERDOC. CSL bought Paterson in 2002 and the ship was renamed CEDARGLEN as depicted on this photograph. Marc Pichà© photo.
