Second bulker of the same type in Jugolinija fleet built in 3. Maj, also the last one in the consecutive shipbuilding there for 24 years. After that, newbuildings for domestic fleet were very rare and with gaps of 5-6 years. Sava was launched on 15th June 1973. and delivered on 12th October 1973. After the ceremony in Rijeka she sailed for the first voyage to Atlantic City ( to load grain ), and her first Master was capt. Juraj Manjgotiæ. Another vessel of Jugolinija that spent the whole career under the same name; after almost 25 years in service, she went to the breakers in Alang, arrived there on 27th July, 1998.
