The Portuguese passenger/cargo liner NIASSA, Imo 5250636/ 151m/ 10.742gt/ 16kn; 04/08/1955 completed by Société Anonyme John Cockerill, Ougrée, Hoboken, Antwerp, for Companhia Nacional de Navegação, Lisbon, for its Portuguese territories of Africa service; In 1955 she made a voyage to Portuguese territories of Far East with troops and in 1961 she was the first Portuguese liner transporting troops to Angola and Mozambique, due outbreak of colonial war; 1977 laid up in Tagus estuary, however in 1978 she was chartered by CTM, Lisbon, for eight round trips to Funchal, Madeira. On the 13/05/1979 she arrives Bilbao for breaking up.
