GOLDEN BAY |
The bulk cement carrier GOLDEN BAY is seen here in the Wellington Harbour Board floating dock in January 1985.The ship had lost a propeller blade entering Nelson and had to be towed to Wellington by another Tarakohe Shipping Co vessel the JOHN WILSON. The ship was laid up for for nearly four months while a replacement prop, blade was sent to NZ. She is seen here at the time the new blade was fitted also under-going a survey. Built in 1979 by Robb Caledon, Dundee she is fitted with two Ruston Diesels and still operates on the NZ coast. Call Sign : ZMGB Gross tonnage : 3165 Flag : New Zealand |
