Launched in 1927 in the New Waterway Shipbuilding Co Yard, of Schiedam (Holland).

This ship was armouerd with two guns, was attacked whilst in navigation from Gibraltar to La Pallice by a German submarine jointly with the French cargo ship Marie Jos? of 2.477 GRT, with a cargo of cereals from Casablanca to Bourdeaux. The attack took place the 30th of May of 1940 at 05:45 hrs in front of S?lvora Island.
