Erny at St. Nazaire
The (first) "Erny" was built in 1904 for Unione Austriaca di Navigazione già Austro-Americana & Fratelli Cosulich, S. A., at Triest. Like many ships she stayed only some years in the fleet and was sold in 1912 to Japanese owners. Renamed "Niitaka Maru" she was torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine "Plunger" 12.07.43.
